I've just posted additional fashion-centered drawings. These are simply sketches that I've done for fun! I love focusing on different angles and diverse clothing in my artwork- diversity is so fun to play with and explore!

Models of the Moment (at least on my watch!)

Chanel Iman and Gemma Ward

The fringe at the base and top of Chanel's dress and the cinched bows are wonderful! The texture reminds me of feathers! It adds to the dress making it not only flirty but gives it a 'renaissance feel'! And Gemma's scarf adds a spash of color and a pop of texture w/ the sequins at the bottom! It definitely adds an element of fun to the satin high waisted skirt and simple tank :)

I love these models and their fashion! They always look great, whether dressed up or down! I always stay caught up on what they are wearing!

Old Hollywood Glamour

more of my collage artwork...

Though I enjoy all of my pieces- I especially love this one because of the Coco Chanel quote in the center "A girl should be two things; classy and fabulous'! She could not have put it any better! All of these women are classy and fabulous, but didn't stray from making their own statements through their style and fashion interests.

I also love the thick hounds-tooth in the background! (one of my favorites patterns b/c it adds dimension and texture to everything- and is timeless!) I then added old pieces of white fabric over the top of the hounds tooth for a layered look and darkened the pictures by smudging conte-crayon in specific areas!

London Fashion Collage

Here is my very first collage- and probably the most fun to create! I wanted to focus on a specific city-London! I incorporated the city;s monuments into the background by painting on the canvas. Then, I layered runway photos, various pictures and text on top! Then, using cardboard, created a 3-D affect and played around with black pencil by smudging in into the pictures for a worn look! I love focusing on COLOR and STYLE and hope you enjoy it as much as i do!

My First Post!

Fashion Friends-

I've just started my fashion blog 'STYLE.decoupage'!!!
Decoupage means 'collage' in French. I thought of the name because when I create art, I usually focus on making collages. Playing with textures, media, and several image- all with one focus is so fun!
This blog will incorporate fashion, art and beauty by showing pics of my style, favorite designers, artwork and other juicy fashion deets:)
Hope you enjoy it- be sure to share it w/ others!
